About The Planetfinder Series

So, this band has had a lot of names, none of which really stuck. You know how it is. We were Plazzma Donorz, Wicked Suburbanites, Toxico, others I can’t remember. We were a bedroom band mostly recording on a four-track Fostex X-15 (and later on, a Tascam 488 eight-track.) We chose Planetfinder for the name of our remastered ‘best of.’ Which was, like, mastered to a DAT in a spare bedroom on a terrible speaker system, and had to subsequently get sucked into a computer for re-eq’ing and noise-stripping and dynamics stuff. So it was, technically, digitally remastered.

We put together five cassettes over the years. Our Planetfinder Series comes in three volumes and includes some later songs that would’ve made the sixth tape if life hadn’t pulled us all in different directions. Forever-life on the Internet is probably more than some of this music deserves but there was always a kind of cracked brilliance about this shit we just made up. Someone out there will like it, I think.

Although the songs in the Planetfinder Series are freely downloadable, they remain our copyright. Feel free to share them as much as you want but don’t sell them. And seriously, good luck to you if you wanna do that, but don’t. Just had to say.

    Tres apropo, quel verite!
Which is to say- Truth, elegantly stated.

(Don’t know why, but some near-lost remnants of HS French bubbled out…)
